"Before one reaches the state where he can see the Western Pure Land in his mind, he should first practice by watching a figure of sixteen feet tall above the pond water." The temple was built according to the Dhamma-end times temple to worship the Amitabha Buddha, the Lord of the Western Pure Land. It is known for the golden Phoenix statue in the central hall.
