In the ports on the west coast of South America, we found this plant that was widely grown and consumed by the locals.
Everyone was very excited after finding out about this. We went further inland and wanted to investigate this plant further, but the expedition lost its way in the mountains, and our supplies became scarce.
God bless us! When we were most desperate, someone found this growing in the wild under the soil. I couldn't believe it could grow in such a cold place, and there was a massive yield!
Relying on it, we replenished our supplies and managed to leave safely. Everyone on the expedition is grateful for that. Well... everyone except our teacher. As its tubers grew underground, he called it the "Devil's Apple” and refused to eat it. He also refused to acknowledge its value.
