This peculiar flower has the size of a grown adult. However, no one actually paid attention to its size in the fear generated by the terrible odor. Mr. Stan even thought that we were near some rotten bodies, it was not until we split the grass did we discover this demonic flower with meaty petals.
It had no roots or stems, growing on the vines of other plants. Moreover, it didn't attract
bees like common flowers, but was surrounded by all kinds of carrion beetles. The flower was even warm somehow. Maybe Mr. Stan was right that the carrion beetles were only feeding on the flower because they had mistaken it for rotten flesh. We wanted to bring it back to Angke but couldn't as it did not have roots or stems.
