The Duke of Myler fled from the battlefield, but the King, ignorant of the truth, still held a funeral for him. In the cruel war, most of the bodies were totally smashed by the warhorses, so the King ordered men to bury his own sword with the clothes worn by the Duke.
As for our pathetic Duke of Myler, he witnessed everything on the hill in the distance,
thinking about returning to the mansion after the funeral—with pieces of fake mustaches, he might dress as his cousin and return to the fortress along River Thames justifiably.Unexpectedly, the guests didn't leave and were intrigued by the circular stone formation near the mansion. Seeing the Round Sculpture in the formation, they start speculating the stories behind it.
So the King decided to hold remembrance activities here in the name of the Duke, and the officials even had more guests invited.
Starved and dehydrated, the Duke of Myler almost could not resist the urge to jump out and tell them: "Hey, I'm still alive. I survived the battles." He even imagined the warm welcome from everyone for the returning hero.However, the Duke had missed the perfect
timing. To protect all the guests present, the King gathered more guards, almost forming a castle with the soldiers, thus keeping the Duke from running away in secret. On the sixth day, when a poet with a peculiar accent stood at the center of the formation, telling the story of Helios for the drunk guests, the Duke finally appeared, yet no one noticed him. Because at that point, he was basically just another drunken official in the mud...
