In my years traveling in the East, I have always been hearing about an island nation named Hormuz. Now that I think about it, I think this is the place, and we just didn't realize it due to the mismatch in translations. Loaded with valuable treasures, we arrived here through the Persian Gulf, gave a third of the treasures to the old captain who saved our lives, and spent another third on ship purchase.
After that, we sailed back to our homeland with a ship full of local spices.
However, our luck ran out. Just after we set sail, a group of pirates got on our tail. The sailors told me that we would be attacked as soon as we enter the Indian Ocean, and that we should take the fight to them right there and then, as the navy might come to our aid.
How I wish I listened to them. Instead, I kept sailing, trying to lose them through the route between coasts. However, I forgot about all the treasures inside the cabin, and they slowed our fleet down.
When the first shell flew over our heads, I finally realized that it was all too late.
